Laverne is a dedicated advocate for youth and women empowerment in the community.

Darielle Simms-Allman
Treasurer
Darrielle has served on the Executive Board as Treasurer since 2020. With 20+ years in finance for both non-profit and for-profit organizations, she has experience in budgeting, forecasting, and auditing. She currently leads the accounts receivable team at Metro. Darrielle also proudly served in the U.S. Navy and has been active in humanitarian efforts and youth education initiatives locally and abroad.

Dr. Lovemore Hakuna
Treasurer
Dr. Lovemore is a technical and business leader with over 15 years of experience in program management, supply chain, organizational strategy, and team development in both private and non-profit sectors. He is passionate about inspiring teams, mentoring future leaders, and driving organizational success. Lovemore holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Portland State University, an MBA from the University of Zimbabwe, and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®).

Quete Capuia
Program Director
Quete has over 30 years of community leadership experience, including youth and children’s programs, team leadership, and education. She joined Highland Haven as Director of Programs in 2020, bringing expertise in operations, finance, culture development, and strategic initiatives. Quete holds a Master’s in Management Organizational Leadership from Warner Pacific College.

Yetu is founder and coach of Yetu Coaching & Consulting LLC, supporting trauma survivors to regain strength and voice. She chaired the Traditional Health Worker Commission, advocating for health equity, and has over 20 years of experience in equity, gang prevention, and public and private sector work spanning education, public health, nursing, coaching, and project management.
