Founded in December 2000, Highland Haven is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established to serve distressed and underserved communities in North and Northeast Portland. For more than two decades, Highland Haven has been committed to educating, empowering, and supporting youth and families through impactful social service and community-based programs.

Rooted in the belief that every individual has potential, Highland Haven creates safe, supportive environments where youth can grow, learn, and develop the skills needed to become self-directed and empowered adults. Through collaboration, mentorship, education, and community engagement, the organization works to build capacity, restore hope, and strengthen families—laying the foundation for long-term stability and success.

Highland Haven’s mission has remained consistent over the years: to educate and empower youth and families, helping them reach their full potential and become positive contributors to their communities.
